  • Alba Road Guardrail Installation

    This project involved the construction of 40 feet of metal beam guardrail with terminal end systems and erosion control on Alba Rd near the Town of Ben Lomond. The installation of the guardrail at this location ensures the safety at this location is dramatically improved.
  • Alta Via Road PM 0.39 Storm Damage Repair Project
     
    This project will provide for the repair of a 55-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a steel soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Aptos Village Improvements Phase I

    Construct road and roadside improvements on Soquel Drive and Trout Gulch Road to include: new traffic signal at Soquel Drive/Trout Gulch Road, modified railroad crossing over Trout Gulch Road, new bus pull out on Soquel Drive, drainage improvements, ADA compliant pedestrian improvements, new bike lanes on Trout Gulch Road.
  • Aptos Village Improvements Phase II

    Construct road and roadside improvements on Soquel Drive from Trout Gulch Road to Aptos Creek bridge to include: new traffic signal at Soquel Drive/Aptos Creek Road, new railroad crossing over Aptos Creek Road, sidewalk and bike lanes on Soquel Drive, new railroad crossing at new Parade Street.
  • Bean Creek Road PM 1.0 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project will provide for the repair of a 20-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a concrete crib retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Boulder Creek Elementary School

    Construct new pedestrian improvements on Harmon and Laurel streets including new on street parking and drop off/pick up area on Laurel Street.
  • BPMP – Clean and Paint Steel Members

    This is a bridge preventative maintenance project and it will clean and paint steel bridge members of the bridges located on Swanton Road at Scott Creek (36C-032) and on Old Santa Cruz Highway at Woodwardia Sidehill Viaduct (36C-155).
  • BPMP - Methacrylate Treatment of Bridge Deck Project

    This project provided a methacrylate resin deck treatment on four bridges throughout the County as part of the Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program. Site one was located on Soquel-San Jose Rd at West Branch of Soquel Creek. Site two was located on East Zayante Rd at Zayante Creek. Site 3 was located on Green Valley Rd at Corralitos Creek. Site 4 was located at Airport Blvd at Corralitos Creek.
  • BPMP – Scour Protection Project

    This is a bridge preventative maintenance project and it will provide for scour protection measures at two separate bridge sites. Site 1 is located on Spreckles Drive over Aptos Creek (Bridge # 36C-113) and Site 2 is Valencia Road over Valencia Creek (Bridge # 36C-116).
  • BPMP – Soquel Drive Bridge Repairs Project

    This project was a Bridge Preventative Maintenance Project and it consisted of repairing the damaged abutment backwall, replacing the expansion joints and placing a polyester concrete overlay on the deck surface.
  • BPMP – Spall Repair

    This is a bridge preventative maintenance project and it will repair concrete spalls in the soffit and edge of deck of the bridge located on East Zayante Road at Zayante Creek (36C-142).
  • Casserly Road Bridge Replacement Project

    This project will provide for the replacement of the 19-foot long Casserly Road Bridge over the Spring Hill Creek near Watsonville.
  • Dolphin Drive Sidewalk

    This project involved the construction of 240 feet of concrete curb and sidewalk along Dolphin Drive in Aptos.
  • Either Way Bridge Replacement Project

    This project will provide for the replacement of the 59-foot long Either Way Bridge over the San Lorenzo River north of the Town of Boulder Creek.
  • El Rancho Drive PM 0.47 Storm Damage Repair Project
    (completed)

    This project will provide for the repair of a 30-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a mechanically stabilized earth retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Eureka Cyn Road PM 0.36 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project will provide for the repair of a 30-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a steel soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Eureka Cyn Road PM 7.58 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project will provide for the repair of a 60-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a MSE retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Felton Covered Bridge Roof Restoration

    This project will provide for the restoration and reroofing of the Felton Covered Bridge.
  • Felton Empire Grade PM 2.58 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project will provide for the repair of a 40-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a steel soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Fern Drive Bridge Replacement Project

    This project will provide for the replacement of the 72-foot long Fern Drive Bridge over the San Lorenzo River near Boulder Creek.
  • Forest Hill Drive Bridge Replacement Project

    This project will provide for the replacement of the 70-foot long Forest Hill Drive Bridge over Bear Creek northeast of the Town of Boulder Creek.
  • Glenwood Drive PM 0.21 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project will provide for the repair of a 40-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a steel soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Glenwood Drive PM 2.02 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project provided for the repair of an 80-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope included the construction of a steel soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Graham Hill Road Bridge Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project provided for the repair of the bridge that was damaged during the storm event. The project also included replacing the sidewalk damaged by the storm event.
  • Granite Creek Road Guardrail Installation

    This project involved the construction of 200 feet of metal beam guardrail with terminal end systems on Granite Creek Road near the City of Scotts Valley. The installation of the guardrail at this location ensures the safety at this location is dramatically improved.
  • Green Valley Road Bridge Replacement Project

    This project will provide for the replacement of the 25-foot long Green Valley Road Bridge over the Casserly Creek Tributary near Watsonville.
  • Green Valley Road Bridge Scour Repair
     
    The County of Santa Cruz is proposing to repair the existing scour beneath the southern abutment on the Green Valley Road Bridge over Green Valley Creek at post mile 4.1. The bridge is scheduled for full replacement in 2018 and is in the design phase now. More Information
  • Highland Way PM 2.68 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project will provide for the repair of a 40-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a steel soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Hwy 152/Holohan Road Intersection Improvements

    Construct school safety improvements for pedestrian and bike access to/from Lakeview Middle School and St. Francis High School to include: new sidewalks and bike lanes on Holohan Road and portions of Hwy 152, new pedestrian crosswalks at all approaches to the new traffic signal, widen Holohan Road to include dual left turn lanes and an exclusive right turn lane, and widen a portion of Hwy 152 to accommodate the dual left turns from Holohan Road.
  • La Madrona/El Rancho/Swanton Guardrail Replacement Project

  • Lompico Road Bridge Replacement Project

    This project will provide for the replacement of the 21-foot Lompico Road Bridge over Lompico Creek north of the Town of Felton.
  • Main Street Improvements

    This project will provide curb, gutters and sidewalks along Main Street from Bridge Street to Main Street Elementary School in Soquel.
  • Main Street PM 1.10 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project will provide for the repair of a 70-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the realignment of the road, construction of a stitch pile wall, construction of a steel soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Mt. Charlie Road PM 3.63 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project will provide for the repair of a 50-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a steel soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Mt View Road PM 0.49 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project will provide for the repair of a 20-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a steel soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Old County Road Bridge Replacement

    This project provided for the replacement of the Old County Road Bridge over Earl Creek in Ben Lomond.
  • Pinehurst and Greenbrier Improvements

    This project is located in Aptos and will provide a new ADA ramp, curb, gutter and sidewalk. It will also restripe the crosswalk and fix the curb and gutter damaged by tree roots.
  • Prescott Road PM 0.35 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project will provide for the repair of a 40-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a steel soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Quail Hollow Road Bridge Replacement Project

    This project will provide for the replacement of the 84-foot long Quail Hollow Road Bridge over Zayante Creek, northeast of the Town of Felton.
  • Rancho Rio Avenue Bridge Replacement Project

    This project will provide for the replacement of the 38-foot long Rancho Rio Avenue Bridge over Newell Creek in the Town of Ben Lomond.
  • Redwood Lodge Road PM 1.65 Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project provided for the repair of a 130-lineal-foot road failure. The project scope included the construction of a stitch pile retaining walls, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Redwood Road Bridge Replacement Project

    This project will provide for the replacement of the 28-foot long Redwood Road Bridge over the Brown’s Creek Tributary northeast of the Town of Corralitos.
  • San Lorenzo Way Bridge Replacement Project

    This project will provide for the replacement of the 157-foot long San Lorenzo Way Bridge over the San Lorenzo River in the Town of Felton.
  • School Zone Safety Improvements

    Install radar speed feedback signs and rectangular rapid flashing beacon enhanced school crosswalks at 22 schools throughout Santa Cruz County.
  • Seacliff Village Streetscape Improvements

    Construct new sidewalks on State Park Drive, Santa Cruz Avenue, Broadway, and Center Avenue to include: improved pedestrian/bus facilities on State Park Drive, public plaza, ornamental streetlights, streetscape (trees and plants), wider sidewalks on Center Avenue, planted center median on Center Avenue, and improved on street parking facilities with electric vehicle charging stations.
  • Soquel Drive Bus Stop & Green Bike Lanes

    Construct new bus pull out on the north side of Soquel Drive east of 41st Avenue, and stripe green bike lanes at the intersection of Soquel Drive/Highway 1/Paul Sweet Road-Commercial Way.
  • Striping and Guardrail Improvements

    North County – Install new guardrail, replace old guardrail, and upgrade striping on various roads.

    Central County – Install new guardrail, replace old guardrail, and upgrade striping on various roads.

    South County – Upgrade striping on various roads.
  • Swanton Road Bridge Replacement Project

    This project will provide for the replacement of the 80-foot long Swanton Road Bridge over the Big Creek near the Town of Davenport.
  • 38th Avenue Drainage Improvement

    This project will provide drainage improvements along 38th Avenue at the intersection of Floral Court.
  • West Hilton Drive at Everest Drive Storm Damage Repair Project

    This project will provide for the repair of a 60-lineal-foot road slipout. The project scope includes the construction of a culvert, gabion basket, earth embankment, installation of guard rail, road drainage facilities, and erosion control measures.
