The County of Santa Cruz manages a comprehensive graffiti abatement program by contracting with Graffiti Protective Coatings, Inc. (GPC) and with the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County.
GPC is responsible for responding to community complaints via one of the four ways that the community can make a complaint of graffiti in their neighborhood listed above. GPC is able to respond to most complaints within 24-hours.
The Volunteer Center manages the Neighborhood Pride Program which allows community members to volunteer to clean up graffiti in heavily targeted areas within their neighborhood. The Neighborhood Pride Program also conducts 6 county-wide clean-up events in heavily targeted locations which incorporates graffiti paint outs with litter clean-ups.
